Physically, the Amethyst steel-hulled ship has a large tonnage and a modern hydraulic balancing system, helping to significantly eliminate small oscillations from ocean waves compared to traditional wooden ships. The feeling of shaking is almost zero when the ship moves in the sheltered core of the bay. If you are extremely sensitive, I recommend that you choose a seating position on the 2nd floor - the area closest to the center of gravity of the train for absolute stability.
Absolutely. Amethyst has a safe luggage storage area on the first floor. However, to optimize space and convenience for you, I suggest you leave your large suitcase at the company's office in Tuan Chau port or on the Limousine, and only bring a small bag containing swimsuits and sunscreen on board. The operations staff will help you coordinate this extremely smoothly.
The train is equipped with free Wi-Fi, but you need to pay a little technical attention: When the train weaves between limestone mountains (especially the Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave area), 4G and Wi-Fi signals may be locally unstable due to terrain obstacles.
Don't worry about feeling lost. Amethyst staff is very delicate in arranging seating. If you want privacy, they will prioritize positions next to glass doors on the 2nd floor. If you are an extroverted guest and want to make friends, they can arrange you to sit with a group of other "solo travelers". This is often the beginning of beautiful friendships after each trip.
This is a very new point. Currently, the port authority is equipped with specialized QR scanners. You just need to open the VNeID application and present the identification QR code. Port staff will check directly on the system without having to hold your phone. This saves at least 15-20 minutes compared to queuing up to compare hard copies of ID/CCCD as before.
