Overview

Ha Long Bay, with thousands of magnificent limestone islands reflecting on the emerald green water, has long been a proud symbol of Vietnamese tourism on the world map. In the midst of that enchanting heritage space, choosing a resort to truly touch the soul of the sea is what any tourist desires when setting foot in this land. In the journey of more than three decades of creating overnight experiences on the bay, Victory Cruise is proud to be a dedicated guide under the management of Bai Tho Passenger Transport Company Limited (Bai Tho Junks). Established in 1991 – the dawn of Quang Ninh tourism, Bai Tho Junks has continuously distilled the essence from practical experience to build a strong yachting ecosystem, where each cruise is guaranteed by a rich history and deep understanding of the heritage bay. Victory Cruise is not simply a means of transportation, but also a delicate intersection between the classic soul of wooden sailboats and modern resort standards. With a unique design imbued with traditional culture, the cruise invites visitors to embark on a relaxing journey, where luxurious comfort and the rustic beauty of precious wood blend together, creating a unique resort space in the heart of the world’s natural wonders.

To understand the position of Victory Cruise, it is necessary to go back in time to the early 90s, a time when Ha Long tourism was still in its infancy with short tours during the day. It is in that context that Ms. Vu Thi Bich Hong and her husband, Mr. Pham Van Hoa, have brought a bold strategic vision: bringing tourists to stay overnight on the bay to truly feel the quiet beauty of the heritage. The establishment of Bai Tho Passenger Transport Company Limited in 1991 not only laid the foundation for a business, but also marked the birth of a completely new resort model, turning simple journeys into in-depth experiences. The name “Poem” is not simply a commercial title but an affirmation of pride and close connection with local roots. Inspired by Bai Tho Mountain – an iconic limestone mountain located right in the heart of the coastal city, where stone-engraved poems of King Le Thanh Tong and Lord Trinh Cuong are preserved, the Bai Tho Junks brand carries the mission of conveying the soul of culture and history into each cruise. Each ship when launched is expected to become a mobile “work of art”, where visitors can not only admire the scenery but also listen to stories about the heritage land through the language of architecture and services. The core value that makes Bai Tho Junks’ enduring vitality is its perseverance in preserving Vietnamese cultural heritage through traditional wooden ship architecture. While the trend of industrialization is gradually replacing natural materials, the Victory fleet still maintains its characteristic “genetic code” with windswept brown sails and sophisticated hand-crafted wooden interiors. This operating philosophy is based on absolute respect for ancient values, cleverly combined with modern maritime safety standards, to ensure that every step of the traveler on board brings a feeling of warmth, closeness but no less class and peace of mind.

Victory Cruise is not only a long-standing name but also a symbol of the durability of traditional wooden ships on Ha Long Bay. Although the current market is exploding with massive steel-hulled superyachts, Victory still maintains a unique position, attracting souls who love nostalgia and want to find the pure feeling of a true ocean journey. Stepping onto the Victory cruise ship, the first impression is the grandeur of a sturdy 4-storey wooden structure, highlighted by a pair of characteristic brown sails – an image that has become the visual heritage of Ha Long Bay. The ship’s architecture is a clever combination of open space and intricately carved details, creating an overall look that is both luxurious in Indochina style and close to nature. Maintaining wooden materials not only brings warmth but also helps visitors feel the breath of tradition in each wave. Regarding technical specifications, Victory Cruise has an ideal size with a length of 58m and a width of 11m, creating a spacious enough space for entertainment activities but still maintaining the necessary privacy. A big plus is that the ship has been completely renovated in 2022. This is an important “new outfit” step, helping to modernize the interior system and infrastructure, ensuring that despite its classic appearance, the customer’s comfort experience still meets international 4-star standards, not inferior to new ship lines. In particular, safety is always the top priority in Bai Tho Junks’ operating philosophy. Victory Cruise is equipped with a modern rescue system with 04 large lifeboats, 60 buoys, more than 100 life jackets and 12 fire extinguishers arranged in strategic locations. All equipment far exceeds strict maritime safety standards, giving visitors complete peace of mind to fully enjoy relaxing moments in the heart of the world’s natural heritage.

The room system on Victory Cruise is designed to bring absolute privacy and relaxation to each guest. With a total of 21 Deluxe cabins reasonably distributed on the 1st and 2nd floors, the ship maintains a suitable scale, ensuring a quiet space and personalized care for each guest. Each room is a sophisticated resort space, where coziness is honored through interior details made entirely of precious wood, creating an overall luxurious, elegant yet extremely intimate look. The most valuable highlight of the rooms is the large glass window system, which acts as a vivid natural picture, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay right from their private space. To ensure maximum comfort in all weather conditions, each cabin is equipped with a modern two-way air conditioning system and a full range of high-end amenities, turning every night’s stay in the heart of heritage into a comfortable and complete experience.

Besides the traditional Victory Cruise line, Bai Tho Junks’ ecosystem also possesses impressive “brothers”, creating a diverse product portfolio to meet all the demanding needs of tourists. The most prominent must be mentioned Victory Star Cruise – 5-star ship line marks a strong transition from wooden hull to modern and solid steel hull structure. With a scale of 24 to 32 cabins and especially a private balcony system for each room, Victory Star is the priority choice for those looking for luxury, where visitors can enjoy the private sea breeze and take in the beauty of the heritage bay right from their bedroom. If Victory Star represents massiveness and luxury, then Treasure Junk brings a completely different breath with the enchanting “Boutique” style. With only 14 cabins, this small wooden ship is the perfect choice for small groups, families or units that want to rent the entire ship (Charter) to enjoy a completely private journey. Here, tranquility and personalized experiences are given top priority, helping visitors truly immerse themselves in the peaceful space of little-known bays, away from the noise of regular tourist routes. Not stopping at the current successes, Bai Tho Junks also affirms its leading position with strong breakthroughs into the super luxury segment with the appearance of Aime’e and Victorious Cruise in the period 2025 – 2026. Aime’e is created as a romantic “beloved” with sophisticated 6-star standards, while Victorious is the embodiment of the new generation “Superyacht” concept. These super products not only break the limits of operating technology but also redefine the art of luxury resorts at sea, bringing Ha Long heritage to a new level in the eyes of international friends.

A cruise with Victory Cruise is not simply a walk among the limestone islands, but also a journey that awakens all senses through activities with a strong local imprint. Here, every passing moment is designed so that visitors can fully appreciate the beauty of heritage, from exquisite culinary flavors to formal cultural rituals. The most unique highlight of Victory’s service style is the Royal Dinner. This is not just a meal, but a lively cultural performance, where visitors have the opportunity to dress up in brilliant royal costumes and enjoy a banquet in a traditional music space. Transforming into kings and queens and dining according to ancient Vietnamese royal rituals brings a magical connection to history, creating unforgettable memories, especially for international guests visiting Vietnam for the first time. Besides the theme parties, the daily menu on the cruise is a chorus of fresh local seafood, caught directly from Ha Long Bay. Guests will be treated to dishes that both bring the idyllic breath of the fishing village and achieve sophistication in preparation such as: squid stir-fried with fragrant garlic, grilled shrimp with rich chili salt or premium abalone with oyster sauce. The combination of premium ingredients and the talented hands of chefs not only satisfies the taste buds but also honors the culinary value of Quang Ninh coastal region, turning each meal into an inseparable part of the heritage journey.

When the first rays of sunlight begin to filter through the limestone ravines, the rooftop space on the 4th floor becomes the best place to start a new day. Practicing Tai Chi in the morning in the fresh air of the sea not only helps regenerate energy but also brings balance and relaxation to the soul, helping visitors get ready for a long day of exciting exploration. Victory Cruise’s journey will lead you deep into the heart of heritage with the most typical destinations of Ha Long Bay. Visitors will admire the magnificence of Sung Sot Cave – the largest cave with a system of magical stalactites; Conquer the top of Titop island to capture the entire bay from above and relax on the smooth white sand beach. In particular, the experience of visiting Luon Cave by rustic bamboo boat rowed by local people, or rowing a kayak yourself through the limestone cave dome to enter a quiet lake, will bring the closest feeling of connection with nature. When night falls, the cruise takes on a mysterious and peaceful beauty. This is the time when visitors can try their luck with night squid fishing with the crew – an exciting rustic experience for coastal people. For those who love romantic spaces, sipping a cocktail at the panorama bar, listening to the whispering waves and watching the shimmering lights from the ships in the distance will be the perfect ending to a long, memorable day in the heart of wonder.

In the era of green tourism, luxury is not only defined through tangible amenities but also in the way businesses treat nature. Aware of its position in one of the most sensitive seas in the world, Victory Cruise is proud to be a rare unit in Ha Long Bay pioneering the conversion to using biofuel (Green Diesel) for its entire fleet. This is a breakthrough step, demonstrating the Bai Tho Junks brand’s long-term and sustainable commitment to heritage. The application of Biodiesel – a fuel derived from vegetable oil or biodegradable organic matter – helps significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fine dust particles compared to conventional diesel. This not only protects fresh air for tourists relaxing on the deck, but also directly minimizes negative impacts on the water surface ecosystem, home to thousands of marine species. By choosing a journey with Victory, visitors are not only enjoying the majestic beauty of the wonder, but are also joining us in continuing to write the story of preserving and preserving the characteristic emerald green color of Ha Long Bay for future generations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get seasick when spending the night on the boat?

Unlike traditional wooden ships that are light and easily swaying, Victory Cruise has an External steel structure that is very compact and stable. Ships are often anchored in sheltered areas where the sea surface is as calm as a lake. If you are extremely sensitive, prioritize booking rooms on Level 1 - a low location and close to the train's center of gravity will help minimize the feeling of shaking to a minimum.

Can the power source on board be used for high-power equipment?

The ship uses 220V grid electricity with multi-purpose sockets. You can comfortably charge your phone, camera or use a hair dryer (usually already in the room). However, to ensure fire safety for a ship with many precious rosewood interiors, we encourage airline passengers to use personal irons.

Can tap water on board be drunk directly?

Are not. Tap water on board is for personal hygiene only. We provide free bottled water in the room every day. At the restaurant and bar, we also serve Lavie mineral water and bottled drinks according to the menu to ensure the highest food safety and hygiene for guests.

I'm on my honeymoon or wedding anniversary, is there any support on the train?

Absolutely yes! Based on the personalized service spirit of the Bai Tho fleet, you can request a private dinner party setup service or anniversary room decoration service. In particular, if you choose Menu Charter (On Request), the chef team can prepare meaningful dishes for two guests. Don't forget to notify us at least 48 hours in advance.

What is the most suitable outfit (Dress code)?

Victory Cruise is not too strict about costumes, but I have 2 small pieces of advice:

When visiting (Cave/Island): Prioritize shoes with good grip because the stone steps at Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave or Ti Top Island can be a bit slippery.

Dinner at the restaurant: This is when the ship space becomes the most sparkling under the yellow light and the smell of rosewood. A smart casual outfit will help you take much more "luxurious" commemorative photos.

Should I bring cash or use a card on the train?

According to ship's policy, we accept payments by Visa and Mastercard. However, because the ship moves through the core areas of the bay where telecommunications signals are sometimes interrupted, card payments may experience minor interruptions. You should prepare some cash (VND) to quickly pay drink bills or tip staff, this will be more proactive for you.

Is "loss of connection" a train error?

We call it "Digital Detox". When going deep into the heritage area between the towering limestone islands, Wifi and 4G waves will be blocked. This is the geographical peculiarity of Halong Bay. This is the best time for you to put your phone away, sip a cup of Egg Coffee on the Sundeck and really connect with your fellow guests.
