The story of Treasure Junk is inseparable from the historical flow of Bai Tho Junks – a name that has been associated with the development of Quang Ninh tourism since 1991. As one of the pioneers that laid the foundation for overnight stays on the bay, Bai Tho Junks carries with it the legacy of more than 30 years of operating experience and a thorough understanding of every corner of the world’s natural wonders. The birth of Treasure Junk is the crystallization of that rich history, transforming traditional values into a distinct boutique resort experience, where privacy and authenticity come first. With the design philosophy “Inspired by Tradition”, Treasure Junk skillfully reconciles two extremes: the solidity of modern maritime technology and the soul of ancient junks. The yacht possesses a steel hull structure that meets international safety standards, ensuring smooth and stable operation on the sea surface. However, instead of the dry, hard look of metal, the interior space is covered with natural wood materials and exquisite hand-carved details, helping to preserve the “soul” of Ha Long’s heritage in a more luxurious and durable appearance. To maintain its leading position in the luxury cruise segment, Treasure Junk continuously carries out periodic upgrade campaigns. The most notable is the comprehensive overhaul milestone in June 2022. This process not only focuses on technical maintenance but also modernizes the entire interior system and equipment in cabins and common areas. This affirms the brand’s commitment to providing resort spaces in the most perfect state, ensuring every detail from wooden floors to bathroom amenities meet high standards like a newly launched ship.
Treasure Junk does not stand alone but is an important part of the high-class yacht ecosystem of Bai Tho Junks. Besides the “treasure” Treasure Junk specialized for the Bai Tu Long route, this fleet also owns other famous names such as Victory Star Cruise and Victory Cruise. If Victory Star Cruise is considered a symbol of large-scale luxury with 32 high-class cabins, then Victory Cruise offers the perfect intersection between classic features and modern amenities with a system of 21 rooms. Although each ship line has a different size and number of cabins to serve separate target groups, all members of the fleet share the same core values that have built the Bai Tho brand for more than three decades: dedication to service and the desire to preserve Vietnamese cultural identity. Operating these famous cruise lines in parallel not only affirms the professional management capacity of the managing unit but also gives visitors absolute peace of mind about consistent service quality, whether you choose to experience the grandeur of the Victory line or the sophistication and privacy of a boutique line like Treasure Junk.
Technically, Treasure Junk possesses impressive parameters, ensuring the perfect balance between spacious resort space and flexible operation on the bay. With a length of 39.74m and a width of 10.2m, the yacht is optimally designed with a 3-storey structure with separate functions, providing a spacious view from all angles. The sophistication of a boutique ship is clearly demonstrated through its limited scale of only 14 cabins, serving a maximum of 30 to 36 passengers. This number not only ensures absolute privacy for each individual but also allows the ship to easily access calm waters and majestic limestone canyons – places that large super yachts can hardly reach. The biggest difference that helps Treasure Junk affirm its leading position in the era of responsible tourism is its strong commitment to heritage preservation through a green operating system. This is one of the pioneering cruise ships in Ha Long Bay to use Biodiesel B20 fuel – a clean energy type that helps significantly reduce carbon emissions and substances that cause the greenhouse effect. The use of bio-oil is not only a testament to the responsibility to protect the marine ecosystem, but also helps the engine operate more smoothly, minimizing noise and vibration, thereby returning the original quiet space to passengers during the journey to explore Bai Tu Long. In addition to advanced fuel technology, Treasure Junk also strictly enforces a zero single-use plastic waste policy on board. The entire drinking water system, personal hygiene items and products served at the restaurant are replaced with environmentally friendly materials or reusable items such as glass bottles and ceramics. The combination of solid technical specifications and sustainable environmental protection mindset has turned every trip with Treasure Junk into a humane journey, where visitors can enjoy luxury while still contributing to preserving the eternal beauty of the world’s natural wonders.
The accommodation system on Treasure Junk is designed to optimize privacy and comfort for each individual with a total of 14 exquisite cabins. The entire resort space exudes warmth and luxury thanks to the use of hardwood floors combined with meticulously crafted natural wood furniture. To ensure maximum comfort in all weather conditions, each room is equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, providing a truly personalized space for relaxation in the heart of wonder. The Deluxe Ocean View room class includes 12 cabins located on the first floor of the yacht, giving guests the closest feeling to the clear blue sea water. The highlight of this room category is the large sea-facing window system, allowing natural light to flood the space and opening up infinite views right from the bed. With flexible Double or Twin bed configurations, this is the perfect choice for couples or groups of friends who want a cozy resting space but still fully equipped with modern amenities. For travelers seeking absolute luxury and privacy, the two Ocean View Suite cabins on the second floor are the perfect answer. This room class opens up a completely different resort standard with a separate balcony – where guests can enjoy the fresh air of Bai Tu Long Bay in the quietest way. Inside the room, the presence of a high-class Jacuzzi bathtub and separate living room area turns each Suite cabin into a “floating apartment” in the middle of the ocean, providing a classy and inspiring vacation experience.
Different from the usual bustle in the core area of Ha Long Bay, Treasure Junk takes visitors deep into Bai Tu Long Bay – a place considered a “rough pearl” that still retains its wild and quiet beauty. Choosing this cruise, visitors will enjoy a “footprintless” route, completely separate from the crowd of hundreds of other cruise ships. The only space left here is the sound of lapping waves and the majestic scenery of thousands of limestone islands rising from the emerald green water, bringing a feeling of relaxation and true connection with original nature. The highlight of the journey is the truly experiential activities, allowing visitors to directly touch the heritage. In the Cong Do area, the kayaking experience will take you through magical rocky alleys and visit small sandy beaches hidden at the foot of the island. Next, Vung Vieng fishing village welcomes visitors with the simple lifestyle of local fishermen on rustic bamboo boats, where sea culture is preserved for many generations. The journey also extends to Thien Canh Son cave – a pristine cave located high up, which possesses a system of pristine stalactites and a panoramic view of Bai Tu Long Bay from the cave entrance, creating impressive moments of discovery. Not only stopping at outdoor activities, the lifestyle on the Treasure Junk cruise ship is also designed to be extremely sophisticated and culturally rich. Every early morning, visitors can start a new day full of energy with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck as soon as dawn breaks. When sunset falls, the cooking class is an opportunity for you to make traditional dishes yourself in the romantic atmosphere of an afternoon tea party. At the end of the day, after a luxurious dinner, the night squid fishing activity with the crew will be the perfect piece, ending a day full of aftertaste in the quiet space of the bay.
Cuisine on Treasure Junk is more than just meals, but a journey honoring the “Sea-to-Table” philosophy. With the advantage of directly exploiting fresh ingredients from the bay itself, the chefs here have cleverly built a menu that is a delicate fusion between traditional Vietnamese flavors and modern Western presentation styles. Visitors will find familiarity in dishes rich in identity such as traditional fried spring rolls or Ha Long squid rolls – famous specialties of the heritage land. This combination becomes more perfect when placed next to international dishes such as smooth pumpkin cream soup or meticulously prepared grilled sea bass with galangal, bringing a diverse and classy taste experience in the open restaurant space with panoramic views of the bay. Along with the culinary journey are moments of pampering the body and mind at Aquamarine Spa, a quiet space specifically designed for visitors to regenerate energy. Here, the treatments are distilled from the essence of nature, notably hot stone massage therapy using heat energy to relieve muscle tension and circulate blood. In particular, the Ha Long pearl powder facial care treatment is a unique highlight, helping the skin to be deeply nourished and restored with precious local products. In the gentle sound of waves and the quiet ocean space of Bai Tu Long Bay, every moment at Aquamarine Spa becomes a precious silence, helping visitors find absolute balance between body and soul.

In fact, when the ship goes deep into Bai Tu Long Bay - a remote heritage core area, phone signals and Wifi will flicker or disappear completely. This is not a technical error but a geographical feature. We call this a gift: an opportunity for you to truly "disconnect" to "reconnect" with nature and your beloved guests without being bothered by work notifications.
To protect the environment and flexibly move into narrow alleys, small caves or pristine beaches that the main ship (Treasure Junk) cannot reach, we use a transfer boat (Day Boat). This is the time when you can go deepest into the "no guest footprint" waters, bringing the true spirit of discovery of a boutique adventure.
With a sturdy Metal-framed steel structure, Treasure Junk has very high compactness and stability compared to traditional wooden ships. Furthermore, the ship will anchor in a sheltered area with a calm sea surface like a lake to value guests' overnight stay. If you are extremely sensitive, please notify us in advance so we can arrange a room in the middle of the ship (1st floor) - the place with the least fluctuations.
The ship uses 220V grid electricity with multi-purpose sockets (usually 2 round or flat pins). Guests can charge their phones and cameras comfortably in the room. However, we encourage not to use too large capacity equipment such as irons to ensure electrical safety for the wooden ship system.
We value comfort. However, there are two small notes:
Dinner: You can wear more formal clothes (Smart Casual) to take beautiful photos in a romantic atmosphere.
Activities: Bring a swimsuit and quick-drying clothes when kayaking, and a pair of shoes with good grip to visit Vung Vieng fishing village.
Are not. Tap water is for personal hygiene only. We provide free bottled water in the room every day. At the restaurant and bar, valued guests can order additional mineral water or drinks according to the menu.
In Vietnam, there are no hard rules about tipping, but this is a great way to recognize the crew's dedication. Normally, passengers often leave a small amount (about 10-20 USD/guests) in the general Tip box at the reception desk at the end of the journey to divide equally among all departments from the kitchen, room to the train engine.
Due to the characteristics of the ship having many narrow steps and traveling by motorboat (tender) to board the ship, Treasure Junk can cause difficulties for guests using wheelchairs or guests with major mobility problems. However, our staff is always ready to assist and guide customers as much as possible.
Tuyệt vời nào.
