Ha Long Bay is undergoing a silent but strong “blood change” in its tourism infrastructure. The brown sails and rustic wooden hulls that were once symbols are now gradually giving way to a generation of solid and modern steel-hulled ships. This is not simply a story of changing shipbuilding materials, but a leap forward in maritime safety standards and tourist enjoyment. In a context where heritage tourism increasingly demands sophistication and sustainability, this shift marks a new era – where luxury is defined by tranquility, absolute stability and spacious open spaces in the heart of wonder.
Amid that wave of innovation, Ho Thien 99 cruise ship (registration code QN-9998) emerged as a shining “star”, a typical representative of the segment of ships visiting the bay during the day with 5-star standard. Not following the path of traditional cruise lines, Ho Thien 99 is designed as a miniature floating hotel, completely breaking the stereotype that short-term bay tours are just quick trips without amenities. With a sturdy steel structure and sophisticated architectural aesthetics, this ship has redefined the tourist experience, turning every hour floating on the emerald water into a true and classy vacation journey.
The core value that makes Ho Thien 99 attractive lies in the harmonious intersection between state-of-the-art operating technology and deeply personalized service philosophy. If the iron shell brings absolute peace of mind against all weather conditions, the smart infrastructure system inside brings outstanding comfort that previously only appeared on overnight accommodation ships. However, what really touches the emotions of visitors is the way this ship understands every smallest need – from exquisite buffet parties to melodious live music moments on the sundeck when sunset falls. Ho Thien 99 doesn’t just sell a sightseeing trip, they are inviting you to enter a modern tourism ecosystem, where every touch point is imbued with the breath of professionalism and sincere hospitality.
The reason why Ho Thien 99 becomes the top choice in the eyes of sophisticated travelers lies first of all in the outstanding advantage of its modern three-story steel shell structure. This is not only a technical upgrade, but also a solution to the problem of human visual and auditory experience. Unlike the vibrations or noisy engines often found on old wooden ships, high-quality steel materials allow Ho Thien 99 to glide smoothly, significantly eliminating noise so that visitors can completely immerse themselves in the silence of the bay. In particular, this sturdy structure allows maximum expansion of tempered glass areas, creating an unlimited panoramic space. From any position in the restaurant, the boundary between the luxurious interior and the natural wonder outside seems to be blurred, providing a spacious view that traditional cruise lines can hardly meet.
In the problem of operating scale, the number of 99 passengers is the ideal “sweet spot” to balance excitement and privacy. If super yachts with a capacity of hundreds of people sometimes make visitors feel like they are part of an industrial chain, or small 48-passenger ships are too monotonous in terms of amenities, then Ho Thien 99 feels just right. This scale allows the staff to take care of each individual, creating a cozy atmosphere but still having enough space for each person to find their own quiet time. This is a valuable psychological upgrade, where visitors can enjoy 5-star service without having to face crowding or waiting too long when moving to attractions.
The superiority of Ho Thien 99 also lies in the “exceeding expectations” amenities that were previously only reserved for long overnight tours. The presence of a four-season Jacuzzi right on the deck is not only a symbol of luxury, but also a way for visitors to regenerate energy and absolutely relax amid the clouds, sky, and water. Inside the ship, the restaurant system with high-capacity air conditioning always maintains a cool environment, completely separate from the typical heat or humidity of the sea, helping the buffet lunch become more complete. When afternoon falls, the large sundeck area becomes a perfect stage for sunset parties, where visitors can sip cocktails, listen to melodious music and feel the sophistication of service blending with the magical beauty of the heritage.

Sundeck area on Lake Thien 99 Cruise
Going deep into the interior space of Ho Thien 99, visitors will immediately feel an interesting contrast with the typical salty wind and sunshine of the bay area. The first and second floors of the yacht are designed as a cathedral of tranquility and luxury, where modern architectural language reigns with sophisticated lines. The entire restaurant area is surrounded by giant panorama glass panels, turning each doorway into a vivid picture frame, allowing diners to enjoy a premium seafood buffet with the freshest specialties of Quang Ninh, while not missing any transforming moments of the wonders outside. The interior here not only focuses on surface glamor but also focuses on tactile experiences – from high-quality leather tables and chairs to delicately adjusted lighting systems, creating a dining space that is both cozy and classy in the heart of heritage.
If the space below is a haven of comfort, the third floor – the sundeck area – is a symbol of freedom and generosity. With a completely unobstructed 360-degree view, this is the “golden coordinates” for visitors to capture the most precious moments, from the moment the sun reaches its peak until the sunset dyes the bay water purple. This space is carefully calculated to be both an ideal “virtual living” place for young people, as well as a professional space for MICE events (meetings, incentives). The flexibility in layout helps the sundeck easily transform from an inspiring outdoor music stage into a classy conference space, where big ideas germinate amid the vast space of clouds and rocks, bringing a completely new source of creative energy to visitors.

Behind the aesthetic beauty and lavish services, Ho Thien 99’s technical infrastructure system is the “anchor” of the strongest trust for all passengers. The use of high-quality steel materials for the ship’s hull not only provides great stability when moving, significantly eliminating vibration compared to generations of wooden ships, but is also an absolute safety shield. All equipment on board, from the automatic fire protection system to the most modern rescue vehicles, are equipped according to today’s most stringent international maritime standards. The unsparing investment in this technical platform shows a professional risk management mindset, helping tourists completely put aside all worries to fully enjoy the journey, because they know that they are being protected by one of the most advanced operating systems on Ha Long Bay.

There is good news for you! Thanks to its heavy steel hull structure and modern balancing system, Ho Thien 99 has extremely good compaction, significantly eliminating vibration compared to traditional wooden ships. However, if you are extremely sensitive, a tip is to choose a seat on the 1st floor (lowest center of gravity) and avoid looking at your phone while the train is moving.
Absolutely. Although its strength is seafood, Ho Thien 99's head chef always prepares salads, vegetable soups and plant-based main dishes. In order for us to serve you most attentively, you only need to notify the tour booking agency about 24 hours in advance so that the kitchen can prepare a separate menu for you at no additional cost.
This is a brain-balancing problem! Experience is to choose "layering" clothes (many layers). A brilliant dress to take photos on the sundeck and Jacuzzi, but don't forget to bring a pair of sneakers or sandals with good grip. Climbing 200 stone steps at Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave or 400 steps at Ti Top peak in high heels is definitely not a good idea.
The ship is equipped with free Wi-Fi, but let's be realistic: between dense limestone islands, satellite waves will sometimes "flicker". If you have an important meeting, prioritize using personal 4G/5G - mobile signals at stops like Ti Top or Sung Sot are often more stable when the ship is moving deep into the core of the bay.
The space on the 1st and 2nd floors of the train is very large, and can completely move strollers or wheelchairs. However, attractions such as Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave or Ti Top have many steep stone steps, not suitable for strollers. In this case, elderly guests can choose to relax in the air-conditioned restaurant or soak their feet in the Jacuzzi on the ship to enjoy the bay air without having to get off the ship.
Very needed! Even if you don't plan to swim in Ti Top beach, the four-season Jacuzzi on board is an "expensive" experience that should not be missed. Ho Thien 99 usually provides towels in the jacuzzi area, but bringing a favorite swimsuit and sunscreen is the number 1 priority to have "million-view" photos.
This is the most "heartbreaking" situation. Ships visiting the bay must depart at the fixed time of the Port Authority. If you arrive late, the only option is to rent a speedboat (quite expensive) to chase the boat. Therefore, always allow at least 30 minutes to travel from the hotel to the port, especially during the summer peak season.
