Overview

Officially launched in April 2025, super yacht Calista Cruise is proudly positioned as the largest and most modern “Eco-Luxury” symbol on the Ha Long Bay tourism map. Invested and operated by Minh Loan Tourism Services and Development Trading Company Limited, Calista Cruise is not simply a resort vehicle but also an architectural masterpiece, bringing a new standard of luxury associated with the responsibility to protect the ecosystem of the world’s natural heritage. The name Calista comes from the ancient Greek word “Kalliste”, meaning “most beautiful” or “excellent beauty”. This name also reminds of the mythological goddess Callisto – a symbol of elegance, perfection and noble charisma. The choice of this name represents the brand’s desire to create a resort space whose beauty rivals the magnificence of the limestone islands and the emerald green water of the bay, turning each journey into a pinnacle aesthetic experience for visitors. Calista Cruise’s strategic vision is built on the sustainable intersection of exquisite hospitality and responsibility to preserve nature. Under the enthusiastic management of Minh Loan Travel, the super yacht not only focuses on high-class personalized services but also pioneers in applying the most advanced green technology. This is where luxury resort values are placed in absolute harmony with the environment, ensuring that the beauty of the heritage bay will always be cherished and preserved for future generations.

With impressive dimensions including a length of 91.26m, a width of 15.1m, a beam height of 4m and a draft of 2.25m, Calista Cruise owns a large superstructure space, accommodating up to 250 visitors and 114 overnight passengers in a system of 38 luxury cabins. The entire architecture is scientifically distributed over 5 guest floors (Guest Decks), flexibly connected by a modern elevator system, helping to optimize the travel experience and ensure absolute convenience for passengers throughout the journey. To maintain international service standards, the cruise operates with a team of 60 professional personnel, creating an ideal service ratio to meet all customer requests in a sophisticated and timely manner. In particular, Calista Cruise pioneered the application of a groundbreaking Hybrid propulsion system in maritime operations. This technology not only eliminates vibrations and noise, bringing absolute silence to the resort space, but also significantly reduces exhaust emissions, affirming its leading position in the green and sustainable tourism development strategy in the heritage bay area.

The resort system on Calista Cruise is delicately planned with 38 luxurious cabins, scientifically distributed from the 1st to 4th floors to ensure spacious views and absolute privacy. Calista Ocean room class with an area of 30m2 is located on the 1st and 3rd floors, with a streamlined but artistic design style, integrated with a private balcony for guests to fully enjoy the fresh sea breeze. Located on the first floor, the 32m2 Calista Bay room class creates a distinct highlight with a panoramic sea view bathtub, allowing guests to relax while admiring the majestic beauty of the heritage bay right in a private space. The main room line and the largest number on the ship is Calista Legacy, with an area of 33m2 and widely distributed on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Each Legacy room is equipped with a private balcony and high-class furniture, providing standard comfort for long journeys. For travelers looking for something different, the Calista Horizon room class on the 4th floor is an unmissable choice with an area of up to 65m2. The special feature of this room type is the separate Jacuzzi integrated right inside the room, creating a classy and completely isolated relaxation space in the middle of the ocean. The pinnacle of luxury on Calista Cruise belongs to the two most luxurious suites, Majesty and President. Calista Majesty is located on the 3rd floor with an area of 78m2, making a strong impression with its spacious living room and large Super King bed, meeting the resort standards of the most demanding guests. In particular, the “super product” Calista President is likened to a unique Penthouse on the sea with an area of up to 126m2 on the 3rd floor. This suite has a separate terrace (Private Terrace), opening up a large and absolutely private outdoor space, helping visitors capture the entire splendor of Ha Long Bay in their sight from the most prime location of the yacht.

The utility ecosystem on Calista Cruise is designed as a true “floating resort”, providing entertainment and relaxation experiences far beyond the standards of a conventional cruise ship. The highlight on the first floor is Oceanus Pool, a four-season infinity pool with an area of up to 225m2, recognized as the largest swimming pool on the bay today. With a modern heating system, visitors can enjoy the feeling of swimming in the ocean regardless of the time of year. Meanwhile, on the 3rd floor, the 130m2 Oasis Jacuzzi area offers a spacious outdoor jacuzzi space with 360-degree views, an ideal place to completely relax and watch the sunset over the majestic limestone islands. Calista’s elite cuisine is expressed through the classy restaurant system located on the 2nd floor. The main Bayview Dining restaurant with a capacity of 114 guests is the perfect combination of luxurious Fine Dining space and live art performance stage. For guests seeking absolute privacy or private parties, The Pearl Dining Room is a “cathedral” reserved for VIP guests with personalized service and a quiet, sophisticated space. In addition, Calista Cruise also pays special attention to the health and entertainment of tourists through specialized services. Calista Amber Spa offers treatments and body care treatments to help re-energize after a long day of exploration. For the first time on Ha Long Bay, visitors can experience modern 3D Golf Simulator technology, allowing golfers to practice in a classy virtual space right in the heart of the wonder. In addition, the modern Kid Club and Fitness Room systems are also fully integrated, creating a comprehensive utility ecosystem for the whole family, ensuring every member has the most complete moments of rest.

Calista Cruise’s itinerary is delicately designed to take visitors deep into the core area of the World Natural Heritage with two unique route options. The “Emerald Odyssey” route lasts 2 days and 1 night, focusing on the most typical wonders of Ha Long Bay. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the splendid beauty of Sung Sot Cave – the largest stalactite cave in the bay, conquer the mountain peak at Titop Island to capture panoramic views, and experience exciting kayaking at the Luon Cave area, which has a blue lagoon surrounded by steep cliffs. For those who are passionate about exploring silence and wilderness, the “Explore Hidden Wonder” itinerary for 3 days and 2 nights will be the perfect choice. This route takes tourists further into Lan Ha Bay and lesser-known areas. The highlight of the journey is a visit to Vung Vieng Fishing Village, one of the oldest floating fishing villages in the bay, where unique traditional cultural features are preserved. Besides, the journey also extends to Viet Hai ancient village and Thien Canh Son cave, bringing a deep connection between natural beauty and historical stories of coastal residents. Not only stopping at tours, Calista Cruise also offers a colorful ecosystem of boarding activities to make every moment on board memorable. Guests can participate in a traditional cooking class to prepare exquisite cuisine, or try their luck with exciting night squid fishing on the deck. In particular, at dawn, the Vovinam martial arts training session on the Sundeck not only helps visitors exercise but is also an opportunity to receive the purest energy from the world’s natural wonders right in the middle of the open space of sky and sea.

Cuisine on Calista Cruise is not simply meals but also an inspiring Gastronomy journey, where guests’ taste buds are awakened by the delicate interplay between fresh local seafood and luxurious Western Fine Dining style. Typical ingredients of the Gulf region such as lobster, catfish or ocean oysters are meticulously prepared by talented chefs, combined with typical sauces and classy presentation techniques, creating dishes that are both rich in the breath of the sea and fully retain the sophistication of international cuisine. To provide a deeply personalized experience, the cruise ship has designed a specialized menu system to suit all guests’ needs. The “Winter Menu” focuses on dishes that bring a cozy feeling such as coconut-flavored oven-baked pumpkin soup or grilled lamb chops with wine sauce. For travelers who love a healthy lifestyle, the “Vegetarian Menu” is a symphony of natural vegetables with elegant yet nutritious dishes. In particular, the “Kids Menu” is built specifically for young diners with favorite dishes such as cheese seafood pizza, spaghetti with minced beef sauce or fried chicken nuggets, ensuring satisfaction for even families with small children. The highlight not to be missed in the multi-sensory experience here is Calista Breeze Bar located on the spacious Sundeck area. This is the ideal space to participate in romantic Sunset Parties, where visitors can immerse themselves in the magical beauty of the bay at dusk. Here, you will enjoy a signature cocktail called “Blue Ocean” with the blue color of the ocean mixed with the cool taste of fruit, creating a moment of absolute relaxation in the heart of the world’s natural heritage.

Calista Cruise puts sustainability as a guideline for all operational activities, affirming a luxury brand’s responsibility towards natural heritage. The pioneering yacht is equipped with an advanced wastewater treatment system (AWP), ensuring that all domestic wastewater is thoroughly treated through a modern filtration process before being discharged into the environment. This technology, combined with the Hybrid operating system, helps to maximally protect the water quality and sensitive ecosystem of Ha Long Bay, keeping the blue color of the sea always pure. In an effort to reduce waste into the ocean, the cruise ship implements a strict policy of minimizing single-use plastic throughout the cruise. All items serving tourists, from water bottles in the room to utensils at the restaurant and bar, are replaced with glass, ceramic or environmentally friendly biological materials. This is part of the “green tourism” strategy, helping tourists enjoy a luxurious resort space without leaving a negative impact on the natural landscape. Besides technical solutions, Calista Cruise also focuses on supporting indigenous communities and directly participating in preserving the bay ecosystem. The brand is committed to prioritizing the use of human resources and specialty ingredients from the local area, contributing to promoting a sustainable regional economy. At the same time, the cruise ship also regularly accompanies campaigns to clean the marine environment and educate awareness of heritage conservation, turning each cruise into a responsible and deeply meaningful journey for the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the cruise ship have shuttle service from Hanoi or Airport?

Have. Calista Cruise provides high-class Dcar Limousine service daily.

Pick up point: Hotels in Hanoi's Old Quarter area.

Travel time: About 2.5 hours via Hanoi - Hai Phong - Ha Long highway.

You can also book a private car to pick you up directly from Noi Bai Airport or Cat Bi (Hai Phong) upon request. Please book at least 24 hours in advance.

Is there phone signal and Wifi on the train?

The Wifi system is equipped with free coverage throughout the ship. However, due to the specific terrain of Ha Long Bay with thousands of dense limestone islands, the signal may be interrupted or weak when the ship moves into the core or leeward areas. You should prepare a 4G/5G SIM card to ensure better connection if you need to handle urgent work.

I have seasickness, will taking a steel-hulled yacht make it better?

Sure. Calista Cruise is a steel-hulled ship with a large tonnage and massive size (more than 91m long), combined with a modern technical balancing system that helps the ship operate extremely smoothly, minimizing vibration compared to previous small wooden ships. Most customers feel as comfortable as being on land.

Does the ship support organizing anniversary events (Birthday, Honeymoon, Proposal)?

Have. We provide room decoration service packages (Honeymoon setup), give away a small birthday cake, or set up a private party table on the Sundeck/room balcony.

Note: These special requests need to be notified at least 2 days before the trip so that the Customer Care department can prepare most carefully.

Can I use a Flycam (Drone) on a cruise ship?

According to current regulations of the Ha Long Bay Management Board, the use of Flycam is limited and requires a flight license issued by local authorities. If you do not have a license, please do not use the aircraft to avoid configuration or administrative fines.

If there is an emergency health problem at night, how will the cruise ship handle it?

On board there is always a basic first aid medicine cabinet (headache, digestion, seasickness...). In serious cases, speedboats (tenders) are always on duty 24/7 to take passengers to shore. The distance from the sleeping place to the nearest hospital (Bai Chay) is about 4-5km by sea, travel time is very quick.

Is it convenient for people with disabilities or the elderly to use a wheelchair?

Calista Cruise has an elevator to move between floors, very convenient. However, moving from the port to the ship and sightseeing activities (visiting caves, climbing Mount Ti Top Island, riding bamboo boats) still require active travel. If you use a wheelchair, please notify in advance so that staff can provide maximum support at reception points (pier, lobby).

What happens if there is a storm or bad weather?

The ship board is a decision of the Ha Long Maritime Port Authority, not the cruise ship's decision.

If the ship is banned BEFORE departure (before leaving the port): You will receive a 100% refund or reserve the date.

If the train is banned WHILE sightseeing (lunch/partially completed): Cost will be calculated based on actual services used, the rest will be refunded.

Recommendation: You should check the weather forecast 3 days before departure, especially during the stormy season (July - September).

Do I need to bring my own fishing rod for night squid fishing?

Are not. The cruise has prepared a lighting system to attract squid and free fishing rods and bait for tourists at the stern area on the first floor.

Are not. The cruise has prepared a lighting system to attract squid and free fishing rods and bait for tourists at the stern area on the first floor.
