Amidst the magical space of the world’s natural wonders, Emperor Cruises Ha Long appears as a splendid “floating palace”, taking visitors back in time to the golden age of the magnificent 1930s. This is a typical entity belonging to LuxGroup – a group considered a “Small Giant” in the luxury tourism industry, headed by Dr. Pham Ha. With an inspirational starting point and the vision of inheriting the spirit of “King of Ships” Bach Thai Buoi, Mr. Ha has built a yachting ecosystem not only for business but to honor national pride through the philosophy “Vietnamese people sail Vietnamese ships”. The presence of Emperor Cruises Legacy in Ha Long, along with “brothers” such as Emperor Cruises Origin in Nha Trang or the Heritage Cruises fleet, is part of a long-term strategy aiming to own a fleet of 30 ships operating along the Asian coast by 2045, affirming the sustainable position of an international Vietnamese brand.
Behind that luxury is a humane and scholarly management mindset of Dr. Pham Ha. Instead of following dry Western industrial models, he chose to look to history to find his own guideline, reviving the spirit of “King of Ships” Bach Thai Buoi with the slogan “Vietnamese people ride Vietnamese ships”. From a psychological perspective, this is a strategy to tap into national pride, where tourists not only come to see beautiful scenery but also to feel Vietnamese identity and intelligence through world-class operations. With the “Boutique” positioning, Emperor Cruises is steadfast in its scale of only 10 cabins to ensure absolute privacy and deep personalization, where each guest is cared for with their own name and pre-foreseen needs based on 5 core pillars: Luxury, Heritage, Art, Cuisine and Personalization.
Technically, Emperor Cruises Legacy is the crystallization of traditional shipbuilding technology and modern maritime technology. With a length of 58 meters and a functional 3-storey structure, the ship is designed to ensure both appearance and flexibility when moving into narrow, pristine bays that are difficult for large ships to access. Under the sturdy iron shell is an operating system that meets VR-SB and international safety standards, ensuring absolute stability in all weather conditions. The comprehensive restructuring at the end of 2024 will not only renew Indochine’s interior space but also integrate green technology solutions and advanced wastewater treatment systems, demonstrating a methodical investment strategy, emphasizing quality over quantity, targeting the most elite customer segment.

Sundeck at Emperor Cruises is where visitors can sunbathe and view Ha Long Bay
The biggest difference that helps Emperor Cruises maintain its “unique” position is the system of 10 All-Suite apartments, where each private space is designed like a miniature palace. Regardless of room type, guests automatically have the privilege of a separate balcony and dedicated 24/7 butler service. The apartments are named after places associated with the life of the Former Emperor such as Hanoi, Saigon, Signature, State, and especially Royal Suites (King & Queen) with an area of up to 70 square meters. The strongest emotional touch lies in the bathroom experience with the bathtub located close to the large glass window, allowing you to immerse yourself in warm water while enjoying unlimited views of the world heritage amidst absolute silence.

All cabins on Emperor Cruises are equipped with private balconies
The luxury of the yacht is expressed through a design style inspired by the last king of the Nguyen Dynasty, where carved precious wood, brass and silk blend with lacquer paintings by “Picasso Vietnam” – artist Pham Luc. The system of 10 All-Suite apartments with areas ranging from 35 square meters to 70 square meters (Royal Suite) not only provides a regal resort space but also comes with the privilege of a separate balcony and dedicated 24/7 butler service. Here, each bathroom is designed with a panoramic view of the bay, turning private moments of relaxation into an unlimited heritage enjoyment, blurring all boundaries between modern conveniences and the eternal beauty of nature.
The experience journey is also enhanced by the comprehensive “All-Inclusive” model, helping visitors enjoy absolute freedom without worrying about single bills. From royal banquets at Can Chanh Palace restaurant, which recreates the quintessential imperial menu, to the high-class bar and wine cellar system (Wine Cellar), all are ready to please the most demanding taste buds. In particular, the cruise also creates a unique impression with the traditional Vovinam martial arts class at dawn, replacing the usual Tai Chi exercise, to arouse the Vietnamese spirit in the hearts of each traveler. Combined with treatments at Heritage Spa and the knowledge space at Bao Dai Library, Emperor Cruises is not just a trip, but a reunion between art, history and the responsibility to preserve sustainable heritage through international ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.

We do not impose a strict dress code, but to immerse yourself in the Indochine space, you should prioritize the "Smart Casual" or "Indochine Chic" style. In particular, at dinner at Can Chanh Palace, a traditional Ao Dai or silk dress will help you have "heritage" frames. Don't forget to bring a swimsuit for the kayaking session and a pair of comfortable shoes to visit the cave!
Welcome to 2026! Emperor Cruises is equipped with a broadband satellite internet system. Even though the boat is weaving between the limestone mountains of Bai Tu Long Bay, you can still make stable video calls. However, we still encourage you to truly "disconnect to connect" with nature.
This is the time for the Butler team to show off their talents! We don't just prepare flowers and candles. Depending on request, the ship can arrange a private dinner on the deck under the stars, or a traditional musical instrument concert for just two guests. All "secret" plans will be carried out in the most delicate way.
The good news is that Bai Tu Long Bay is extremely windless and calm. With a heavy iron hull structure and a modern balance system, the boat rides very smoothly, you almost won't feel the vibration. If you are an extremely sensitive guest, the Butlers always have herbal essential oils and gentle acupressure exercises available to help you adapt immediately.
Your safety is the number 1 priority. On board there are always highly trained first aid staff and high-quality medical bags. In case of emergency, the cruise ship has a speedboat system on duty 24/7 to bring guests back to shore in the shortest possible time, and at the same time connect directly with international medical facilities in Halong.
Halong Bay is a restricted flight area to protect security and privacy. However, if you need to record aerial footage for personal purposes, please notify the Butler in advance. We will guide you on the coordinates that are allowed to fly and support the necessary procedures with the bay management board.
Besides protecting the environment, we prioritize using local guests and purchasing raw materials from fishing villages. A portion of the revenue from each trip is also contributed to the cultural preservation fund and educational support for children in floating fishing villages on the bay.
