Overview

Over the past decade, Vietnam’s maritime tourism industry—particularly within the UNESCO World Natural Heritage sites of Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay—has witnessed a profound revolution in luxury standards, uncompromising safety, and deeply personalized experiences. Today’s high-end travel trends extend beyond superficial opulence, embracing absolute peace of mind and subtle sophistication at every service touchpoint. Emerging within this movement, Velar of the Seas stands as an emblem of harmony, seamlessly blending modern steel-hull shipbuilding techniques with a service philosophy deeply rooted in East Asian cultural heritage. April 2024 marked a historic milestone as Velar of the Seas officially debuted to both international and domestic markets. Following a meticulous refinement of its structural engineering and interior design to satisfy the most stringent luxury resort standards, the vessel officially commenced commercial operations, inaugurating a new chapter in the bay’s luxury overnight cruise segment. This moment signifies the presence of an elite floating retreat, ready to offer guests bespoke itineraries and refined living spaces in the heart of the heritage site. Velar of the Seas is strategically positioned as a 5-star “floating boutique hotel.” Guided by a philosophy centered on elegance, private sanctuary, and dedicated service from a professional crew, the cruise delivers a fresh definition of contemporary luxury. It is far more than a mere vessel; it is a vibrant haven where guests can savor exclusive, prestigious moments amidst a natural wonder.

Velar of the Seas embraces a neoclassical design philosophy, delivering a retreat that is at once lavish, unique, and deeply refined. The harmonious blend of modern Western architectural lines and warm, natural Eastern materials creates an enchanting aesthetic presence upon the bay. Every detail aboard has been meticulously curated, from the striking central lobby to the functional spaces, giving rise to a singular floating boutique hotel on the sea. Beyond its visual allure, the cruise asserts its standing through superior safety standards anchored in a robust steel structure. The vessel is built with a double-hull and double-bottom design—an advanced maritime engineering technique that significantly enhances stability and protection across all weather conditions. This methodical investment in technical foundations affords complete peace of mind for passengers, transforming every voyage into a relaxing escape aboard a secure ocean fortress. The impressive scale of Velar of the Seas is reflected in its technical specifications, boasting a length of 65 meters, a beam of 12.9 meters, and a height of 15 meters. The entire space is intelligently distributed across 5 expansive decks, comprising cabin areas
