Where is Quang Hong Beach?
Quang Hong Beach is a modern coastal destination located within the Quang Hong urban area in Cam Pha City. Spanning approximately 300 meters in length and covering an area of 27.9 hectares, this beach represents a remarkable environmental restoration project, having transformed what was once a site for waste disposal and pollution. The Quang Hong Construction Joint Stock Company invested significant time, effort, and hundreds of billions of VND to develop and revitalize the area. Furthermore, the company received dedicated support and guidance from local authorities and relevant sectors regarding legal, planning, and tourism matters. Construction commenced in 2015 and was completed in 2017. On November 18, 2015, the Provincial People’s Committee officially recognized the site as a tourist beach for the first time, followed by a formal decision (No. 1118/QĐ-UBND) on January 17, 2017, confirming that Quang Hong Beach met all professional tourism standards.
Nestled in the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay, Quang Hong Beach offers a stunning vista of rolling limestone mountains that act as a natural windbreak, shielding the shore from heavy swells. Thanks to this geological embrace, visitors can enjoy tranquil waters and a profound sense of security while swimming. Situated within an urban development, the beach offers a secluded atmosphere, far removed from the city’s hustle and bustle, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the coastal experience.
Since its grand opening, the beach has attracted visitors throughout all four seasons. During the summer, it is bustling with locals and tourists alike; in other seasons, travelers frequently stop by to admire the scenery and capture memorable photographs.

Management of Quang Hong Beach
Ms. Phan Thi Quang, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Quang Hong Construction JSC, states: “Over the past 20 years, the company has invested hundreds of billions of VND in developing this tourist beach. We have received invaluable support from Cam Pha City authorities regarding legal procedures to finalize infrastructure, facilities, and technical requirements. In 2017, the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee officially certified our beach as meeting tourism standards.”
Ms. Quang added that beyond the company’s business interests, the goal is to ensure the safety of visitors while driving local tourism to stimulate socio-economic development. “According to our records, the residents of Cam Pha are eager to see businesses invest in the city’s beautiful coastlines in a professional, large-scale, and conscientious manner. This will surely attract more tourists to the region. Moreover, Cam Pha City can create integrated tour circuits with other destinations in the province, such as Ha Long, Van Don, and Mong Cai.”
Experiences at the beach
To enhance the quality of service—particularly regarding guest safety—the company sought permission from local authorities in 2021 to construct a 300m² facility for public use. The company has formally pledged to remove the structure should it conflict with future 1/500-scale detailed construction plans approved by the authorities.
In 2022, the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism acknowledged that after more than a decade of operation, several facilities had deteriorated and required refurbishment, especially the public shower areas. However, the construction of these facilities is currently paused to ensure all legal compliance and regulatory requirements are met (construction has ceased following directives from competent authorities, documented on July 8, 2023, by the Cam Son Ward People’s Committee). In light of this, the Department of Tourism has urged the company to expedite the completion of a new 3-story service building, which will feature upgraded amenities, including dining, retail, and separate, modernized changing facilities for men and women.
Currently, Quang Hong Construction JSC is working proactively with local authorities. They hope to receive guidance on finalizing all necessary procedures to complete the project as soon as possible, thereby enhancing the experience for locals and tourists and overcoming existing operational challenges.
