Perhaps few people are familiar with Hoanh Bo on the Quang Ninh tourism map, as this region remains largely untouched by mass tourism. However, those who have had the chance to visit Hoanh Bo will be left breathless by its majestic mountain landscapes. Located approximately 30km from the heart of Hoanh Bo ward, Tan Dan commune is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region, with Khe Kho Waterfall standing as a quintessential example. This is a magnificent three-tiered waterfall.
- The bottom tier, while only a few meters high, has been sculpted by nature into a serene natural pool.
- The second tier stands roughly 40 meters tall; cascading down from the rocky cliffs, it splits into two primary streams, creating a spectacle of wild, awe-inspiring beauty that leaves every visitor with an indelible memory.
- The third tier is the highest level, featuring rock formations that resemble staircases, leading up toward the source of the stream.
As autumn has just begun, visiting Khe Kho Waterfall at this time offers the chance to witness the falls in all their grandeur—you may even catch a glimpse of a rainbow when looking down from the heights. Furthermore, the weather during this season is exceptionally pleasant. Upon arriving, any weariness will surely melt away beside the cooling waters, immersed in a landscape that serves as a true masterpiece of nature, gifted to Dong Mung village.
