More than just a lively street festival, Ha Long Carnaval is a source of regional pride and a unique tourism product that captivates a massive domestic and international audience each summer. The event plays a pivotal role in powerfully promoting the iconic image of the Ha Long Bay wonder, its people, and Quang Ninh’s culture, while simultaneously boosting summer tourism and contributing to the province’s ambitious goal of welcoming 20 million visitors (including 4.5 million international travelers) and achieving revenue of 55 trillion VND in 2025.

With the official theme “Connecting Heritage, Pioneering Brilliance,” Ha Long Carnaval 2025 demonstrates a harmonious effort to integrate the preservation of Ha Long Bay’s heritage values with dynamic, modern development and the celebration of local and national culture. The festival promises a multisensory cultural and artistic feast structured into four main acts: A grand opening artistic program featuring a state-of-the-art stage (3D mapping, lasers); a massive Carnaval parade involving thousands of participants, elaborate floats, and a special highlight showcasing intangible cultural heritages from all three regions of Vietnam (Then singing, Hue Royal Court music, Central Highlands Gongs, and Don Ca Tai Tu); a high-octane DJ set to electrify the atmosphere; and finally, a breathtaking artistic fireworks display. The participation of renowned artists alongside engaging side activities—such as masquerade balls, flash mobs, and experience booths—will only add to the festival’s irresistible allure.
The climactic finale of this highly anticipated night is the high-altitude artistic fireworks display, officially approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
